Questions
Do I need a plan to use the icons on my website?
Not for the free icons. The free stylesheet (free.min.css), the icon browser and copying free icons as SVG or React are free for everyone, with no account. Icons marked Pro come with the Pro and Max plans.
What do Pro and Max add?
Every Pro icon, everywhere: its SVG and React code and downloads on this site (signed in), your kits load it on your sites, the API sends it to your keys, and you can download the stylesheets to host yourself. On Free, kits and the API have the free icons only.
What is a kit, and can someone else use mine?
A kit is one <link> tag for your site's <head>, made on your dashboard. Its code is visible in your site's HTML, so turn on Limit Domains in the kit's settings: then only your domains (and localhost) can load it. A kit is not an API key and never uses your API requests.
What counts as a request?
Every answer from the API, including 304 Not Modified. Requests that are refused (a wrong key, or a limit reached) don't count. A site that checks the icon index once a day and downloads a style only when we publish a new version needs about 1 request a day, and up to 4 on the day of an update.
When do the daily counts start again?
Every day at 00:00 UTC, for every key at once.
What happens when I reach the limit?
The API answers 429 with the code daily_limit_reached and a Retry-After header until the reset. Each plan also has a limit per minute, so a script or bot with your key can't use up the day at once: over it, wait the seconds in Retry-After. Icons you already downloaded keep working, so keep a copy and your sites don't break.
How do I pay for Pro or Max?
Contact us with the email of your account. We send an invoice for monthly or yearly billing, and switch your account to the new plan as soon as it is paid, usually within one business day. You don't enter card details on this site.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes, at any time: tell us. When a paid plan ends, the account goes back to Free. Keys you made stay and keep working within the Free limits, and your kits keep loading, with the free icons only.
